IE University brings together over 200 international companies at the Virtual Talent Forum

The event, to which 5,000 students and graduates of the institution are invited, will be attended by international recruiters such as Amazon, Facebook, Deloitte, PwC, UBS, P&G, Nike, Johnson & Johnson, Hilti, UN and many more companies from across the globe.

IE University will bring together this month over 200 top international companies at the IE Virtual Talent Forum, the institution’s main recruitment event, at which large companies from different sectors will present their growth plans and professional opportunities within their teams to students and graduates of IE University. This is the second time that IE Talent & Careers organizes a fully virtual edition of this employment forum, which attracts every year more international recruiters for their talent selection.

The IE Virtual Spring Talent Forum will be held every Thursday from Oct 8th to 29th and will be attended by companies such as Amazon, Facebook, Deloitte, PwC, UBS, P&G, Nike, Johnson & Johnson, Hilti and UN, among others. Recruiters will share their vision of the future of work with students, along with placement trends, growth plans, and selection processes for the coming months.

Students and graduates will be able to meet virtually with recruiters and attend company briefings. This year, each company will have the option for a one-to-one chats our talents, enhancing the recruiting experience through video interviews and other virtual networking sessions. They will share corporate information, multimedia resources, specific HR information, job offers, etc. IE University has been pioneering online training for two decades; hence, this is a natural progression for us to be hosting our flagship event virtually.

“In May, we flipped our flagship recruiting event to a digital format for the first time. Now we can grasp even better the power and possibilities of doing this fully virtually. And I don’t think we will ever go back to a 100% face-to-face career fair, because the digital space allows us to attract not only a lot more recruiters but also more international recruiters,” explains Erik Schlie, Vice President of Global Alumni and Talent & Careers at IE University.

The key difference this time is that we are spreading our Virtual Talent Forum over the entire month of October instead of compressing it into one single week. Starting on October 8th, each Thursday in October will be dedicated to different sectors. This continuous rhythm is designed to not overwhelm our students and give them time to prepare and digest.

“We are proud to convey many jobs and networking opportunities to IE students and alumni during IE Virtual Talent Forum; this it would not have been possible without the great response and participation of our partner companies, which have showed adaptation and resilience to recent market changes.”
Alessandra Aloisio, Director Employer Relations & Partnerships at IE
