IE University, FGV-EAESP and Google organize the first EdTech Venture Day in São Paulo

The event took place on November 6 and will be attended by more than 20 experts.

Rapidly evolving technology is affecting a slew of industries, while at the same time, impacting on education: mobile and immersive learning, the internet of things, blockchain and machine learning are already reshaping how we teaching and how we learn.

When combined with new methodologies and new types of interaction, these new technologies will create powerful opportunities for educational institutions of all kinds.

In order to facilitate this process in Brazil, internationally renowned institutions such as IE University, FGV-EAESP and Google are organizing the first EdTech Venture Day in São Paulo, which will be attended by more than 20 experts, among them Rossieli Soares da Silva, São Paulo state Secretary of Education, Daniel Cleffi, Director of Google for Education Latam, Steven Assis, Director of Santander Universities Brazil and Lucia Figar, chairwoman of IE ROCKETS.

In addition, five Brazilian startups from the more than 30 that put themselves forward in the first phase, will participate in the final of the Edtech entrepreneurship competition on Wednesday, November 6. The finalists are: Kludo, Systemablox, Educash, Baqwara and Matraquinha.

The winner will receive a trip to Spain to participate in an acceleration program at IE University and will present their projects to experienced European investors.

About IE Venture Days

IE Venture Days are international events designed to foster the entrepreneurial ecosystem, connecting the best startups, investors, corporations, accelerators and thought-leaders.
