Last Monday the U.S. magazine Evolo announced its “Skyscraper Competition” awards. In this edition, the winner was the French team Atelier CMJN (Julien Combes, Gaël Brulé) for its “LO2P Recycling Skyscraper” in New Delhi, India.

Among the jury for this internationally recognized award was Javier Quintana, Dean of IE School of Architecture, the only dean of a European School of Architecture selected for his expertise in skyscrapers. The jury awarded three winners and 32 honorable mentions among the 715 projects Evolo magazine received from contestants from over 95 countries.

Javier Quintana, Dean of IE School of Architecture holds a Ph.D. in Architecture from the University of Navarra (Spain), a Master in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University (U.S.). Quintana combines his teaching experience with an established career in the field of architecture. Among his professional accomplishments, his workshop TBA represented Spain at the prestigious 8th Venice Architecture Biennale in 2002. Javier Quintana specializes in skyscrapers (Doctoral thesis topic), and workspace design.
