First year - IE Bachelor in Communication and Digital Media | IE University

FIRST YEAR

Your first year will enable you to appreciate the many ways in which philosophy, politics, law and economics define the dynamics of our societies and organizations. You will learn how these fields complement each other and relate within the corporate and social environment. Various courses will kickstart your critical thinking skills, and allow you to approach problems from a multidisciplinary perspective. Your first year will also be an introduction to the world of data science and the application of edge technologies to extract value from data.

SECOND YEAR

In your second year you will study more advanced courses in PPLE and data science and analytics. In both semesters you will delve into your studies to truly understand how to analyze social realities using more advanced technologies and methods. In addition, you will acquire knowledge of specific subjects in social sciences to develop a managerial view and a strong analytical capacity of the reality that surrounds you.

Third year - IE Bachelor in Communication and Digital Media | IE University

THIRD YEAR

Your third year will enable you to integrate your technological knowledge, complex data analysis skills and understanding of social dynamics to become a multidisciplinary practitioner. By delving deeper into your data analysis courses, you will gain an appreciation of how different societies and organizations functions and evolve. You will experiment and apply the latest technologies to real-life cases and problems to truly extract the power of data.

Fourth year - IE Bachelor in Communication and Digital Media | IE University

FOURTH YEAR

In your fourth year you will build on the skills you’ve already acquired to become a true leader and a successful professional. During this year you can choose to pursue an internship or spend a semester or two on exchange at one of our prestigious partner institutions. You will select elective modules from a wide range of options, and tailor your study path in order to pursue the areas you are truly passionate about. Finally, all students have the opportunity to acquire invaluable professional experience by completing an internship.

FIFTH YEAR

In your fifth year you will deliver your final projects. You will develop and explore in depth a topic of your choice, and deliver a written project that you will present to a panel of judges. In addition, you will pursue advanced courses in both data analysis and PPLE, such as Datathons, Sales and Marketing Analytics, Health and Genetics Analytics, and Big Data Technology.

THE EDEN FUND STUDENT PROJECT

The EDEN Fund is the first student-created and student-run investment fund in Spain. It replicates the inner workings of a real fund—like any fund on Wall Street—with the objective of educating passionate students through one simple method: giving them responsibility.

EDEN is the brainchild of students Carlo Masera and Santiago Quintana, who got their inspiration from their experience in the IE Investment Club.
