Fundación IE
The Instituto de Empresa Foundation was created in 1997 as a not-for-profit organisation serving as a charity institution for social assistance, and is registered in the Social Assistance Register.
The Foundation was promoted by Instituto de Empresa and Diego del Alcázar, its president, with a view to "undertaking actions that could help corporate development, benefiting in particular the more disadvantaged sectors of the population by fostering the incorporation of young people into the business environment and their continuous training in relevant corporate areas" as stated in article 6 in the statutes.
Mission
The Instituto de Empresa Foundation facilitates the promotion and management of research, support for training and an integral cultural development of the people and institution that maintain links with Instituto de Empresa.
Its resources are therefore used to fund scholarships for students, aid for training for and research by the faculty, and funds for the updating and improvement of the educational infrastructure of Instituto de Empresa.
The Foundation's activities take place primarily in Spain, but are also present in and focused on North and South America, South East Asia, the Middle East, North Africa and Europe.
Activities
The Instituto de Empresa Foundation's activities are centred on:
- Awarding aid and scholarships to Spanish and foreign students who wish to undertake studies at Instituto de Empresa or in other training centres.
- Awarding aid and scholarships to professors and researchers to undertake training or research work.
- Funding research interns.
- Aid for courses, seminars or conferences whose purpose coincides with that of the Foundation.
- Contributions to the permanent updating of the Instituto de Empresa Library.
- Collaboration with different Centres, Chairs and Knowledge Transfer Projects of the Instituto de Empresa and with other external Foundations to undertake joint programs. See more information.
- Publication of the Revista de Empresa (Corporate Journal) and co-editing of the Revista de Estudios Empresariales (Business Studies Journal).
- Collaboration with the Instituto de Empresa Alumni Association to maintain the Chair in Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Sustainability.
- The Foundation enjoys the support of the Instituto de Empresa faculty for its proposals and activities that contribute to corporate development, thus enabling the foundation to implement said activities with maximum efficiency and quality.
Funding
The Instituto de Empresa Foundation is financed through different sources of income, such as:
- Contributions made by Instituto de Empresa students, who are preferential destinees for the Foundation's aid or activities.
- Aid for research projects from national or foreign institutions.
- Subsidies for extraordinary chairs created and run by external institutions.
- Contributions to courses and seminars.
- Funds for scholarships.
- Revenues for services rendered.
Corporate Partners
Corporate Partners is the department in charge of relations with Partners, i.e. those institutions or individuals with whom IE Higher Education keeps close relations as a consequence of frequent collaboration and coincidence in values, goals and interests.
Corporate Partners supports the development of proposals for special projects, search of Partners for those projects, follow –up and evaluation of the results. Special projects include, among others, Chairs, Centers, and Knowledge Transfer, Applied Research and Strategic Projects.
