Master's Non-European Union Blended Students

BLENDED PROGRAMS NON EUROPEAN UNION STUDENTS

If you are a non-European student planning to take part in a blended program, depending on your nationality, you might need to apply for a Schengen visa (up to 90 days) to attend your face-to-face periods in Madrid. You will have to take this procedure at the Spanish Consulate that pertains to you according to your place of legal residence. A visa application must be submitted within 180 days before the date of your trip (and no later than 15 days before the date of your trip).

Please contact our office so that we can prepare your visa supporting documents. If you have any questions or need further clarification in this matter, please get in touch with our office so that we can guide you. In addition, please carefully read the Schengen FAQs and contact the Spanish Consulate for further details.

Trip to Madrid

Temporary Accommodation

Please contact our team so that we can help you find your perfect accommodation for your time in Madrid.

Booking a hotel room can be the perfect option to live your IE experience. IE has agreements with hotels from different chains.

If you instead prefer to enjoy a more independent lifestyle instead, cook your own meals and have your own space, IE can recommend different short-term accommodation companies or aparthotels, as well as different real estate agencies that will allow you to rent flats for short-term stays, paying prices often similar or cheaper than booking a hotel.

Neighborhoods

IE’s facilities for masters students are located in Barrio de Salamanca. This neighborhood is IE students favorite when deciding where to live because it is a very centrically located residential area with a wider range of services and leisure options. However, you might want to consider other very good options around our neighborhood.

Transfer Services

Beyond Campus presents its new service called VTCREGO , which offers quality drivers with luxury class cars, guaranteeing maximum comfort. The drivers will be waiting for you at the airport, as the pick-ups are scheduled ahead of time. Rates are fixed, regardless of the time of arrival. Click on the link above to find out more. If you don’t want to worry about anything on arrival but getting to your destination safely and on time, you can trust this service to professionals.

Phone and Internet connection

Since you will stay in Spain for a limited amount of time, we recommend that you get a pre-paid SIM card with one of the most popular providers in Spain (Vodafone, Orange, Movistar) if you wish to have a Spanish phone number. In this regard, IE has an agreement with the company Go!Red, which offers reduced phone & internet connection fees for IE students.

Digital Nomad Visa

Spain’s new one-year Digital Nomad Visa is available to non-EU foreign nationals looking to work remotely for companies based outside of Spain. You can also apply for an extension after the year is over if you choose to call Spain your new home. Get in touch with your Spanish Consulate for more information.
