WHAT IS THE GLOBAL ALUMNI WEEKEND
The Global Alumni Weekend (GAW) is the IE Alumni event of the year: a unique opportunity to come back home and reconnect with the places, things, and people that marked a defining moment in your professional and personal lives. IE Alumni participants will enjoy a weekend packed with activities and opportunities to reunite with former classmates, learn from expert professors, and network and socialize with fellow alumni.
WHEN AND WHERE DOES IT TAKE PLACE?
The 2026 GAW dates are: Friday, June 5th, Saturday, June 6th, and Sunday, June 7th. This year, Friday's and Saturday's activities will take place at the IE Tower (P.º de la Castellana, 259, 28029 Madrid) and Sunday's brunch will be held at the Maria de Molina IE Campus (C/ María de Molina, 31 Bis. 28006 Madrid, Spain). The Gala Dinner will take place at the Real Casino de Madrid.

HOW CAN MY CLASS CELEBRATE OUR CLASS REUNION? IS THERE A DEADLINE?
Planning class reunions typically requires at least six months, as the Global Alumni Relations team establishes Class Reunion Committees with one or two representatives from each section per intake. These Committees support us by spreading the word to their classmates and by planning activities around the official GAW events. Many alumni travel for this occasion, which is why planning in advance is important.
If you want to celebrate your Class Reunion at the GAW 2026, please email us at globalalumniweekend@ie.edu. The deadline to celebrate your Class Reunion at the GAW 2026 is May 1st.
For further information regarding Class Reunions, check the "Class Reunions" section of this website.
We look forward to seeing you at the GAW 2026!
CAN I ATTEND THE EVENT IF I´M NOT CELEBRATING MY CLASS REUNION?
Absolutely! All IE alumni are welcome at the GAW. We encourage you to register and spread the word among your classmates and friends; the more the merrier!
CAN I COME WITH MY PARTNER AND CHILDREN? DO THEY HAVE TO PAY?
Partners and children are welcome! Your family is an important part of the IE alumni community.

IS THERE A DRESS CODE?
For the activities at IE Campuses, we suggest business casual. Please consider that the weather in Madrid could be warm in June.
For the Gala dinner, the dress code is black tie.
WHAT DOES THE GALA ENTAIL?
On the night of June 6th, we will host a Gala Dinner at an emblematic Madrid venue, the Real Casino de Madrid, to enjoy a delicious dinner and celebrate the EPIC Awards.
The black-tie Gala dinner is a night to remember, an opportunity to dress up and enjoy with your fellow alumni, starting with a welcome aperitif, followed by a formal sit-down dinner, and the EPIC Awards ceremony— where we will unveil and celebrate our EPIC Award winners.
The night closes with music and full open bar to enjoy and celebrate to the fullest.
Dress Code: wear your fanciest evening gown, tuxedo, or formal attire.
Please note: the GAW tickets do not include access to the Gala Dinner. If you wish to attend, you must purchase a separate Gala Dinner ticket.
