IE Business Case Competition 2027 – 6th Edition
The IE Business Case Competition returns in 2027 for its highly anticipated 6th edition—bigger, bolder, and more global than ever. Bringing together top student talent from across the world, this flagship event challenges the next generation of leaders to solve real-world business problems with creativity, strategy, and impact.

Competition Rules
BUSINESS CASE COMPETITION RULES
The IE Business Case Competition is a unique opportunity for university students to apply their business knowledge, enhance their consulting skills, and solve real-world challenges. Set in an international and diverse environment, the competition promotes collaboration, strategic thinking, and networking, allowing participants to connect with peers, industry experts, and corporate leaders while gaining valuable hands-on experience.
PARTICIPATING TEAMS
- Teams must consist of four undergraduate students enrolled at the same university.
- Each team must be accompanied by a faculty advisor, who will not participate in solving the case or in the team’s presentations.
- The faculty advisor may only communicate with the team after the presentation has concluded.
- No substitutions or alternate team members are allowed after 12th January 2026.
- In the event of unforeseen circumstances or illness, teams may continue the competition with fewer than four members.
GENERAL RULES
- An overall spirit of sportsmanship is expected from all participants throughout the duration of the competition.
- Any violation of the rules may result in disqualification of the team. Any decision of disqualification is final.
- All materials produced during the IE Business Case Competition, including the teams’ presentations, photos and video are the rightful property of IE University.
- In the event that a situation arises which is not addressed in this document, the IE Business Case Competitions reserves the right to make a decision on how to proceed.

Apply as an undergraduate team representing your university.
