1. Overview of this pathway

The Art of Launching, boosting, and commercializing products and services to grow the business

Careers in this pathway focus on marketing, commercial activity, growth… the top-line of any business.  Whatever your unique way of working, there are diverse job opportunities for you to consider.  You might be wildly creative, deeply analytical, a big-picture market strategist, all about digital technical side and automation, or a master of the pitch and the sale  — whatever your strengths, there are ways to put them to work in this pathway.

While the jobs and profiles in this pathway differ enormously, what people working in this pathway have in common is an interest in the growth of the business.  It’s about boosting the business, finding new and better ways to communicate, market, and sell products and services — existing ones… and new ones that capture an unmet need of your customers.

In the old world of work, there were independent (often siloed) departments responsible for marketing, sales, communication, and customer service — and the roles and responsibilities of these departments were well-defined.  In the new world of work, things have changed.  The lines between marketing, communication, and sales activities have blurred — and top companies handle these activities in an integrated way with an intensified focus on the customer at every touch-point, from brand-building activities to post-sales support and service.
