Paula Sanz is a biotechnologist with a background in molecular biology, microbiology, and environmental biotechnology. She holds a BSc in Biology and an MSc in Industrial and Environmental Biotechnology from the Complutense University of Madrid. Prior to joining IE University, she worked in both academic and industrial research, gaining experience in microbial cultivation, molecular biology techniques, experimental design, data analysis, and laboratory management. At IE Environmental Technology, Paula joins the Resource Recovery research line as Laboratory Technician with Irene Sánchez-Andrea, supporting research on sulfur-metabolizing microorganisms and their potential application in sustainable metal recovery and environmental remediation
