On Thursday, November 27, the IE–Elecnor Knowledge Hub on Ethical Business hosted a session on how ethics, technology, and leadership are redefining freedom and responsibility in post-digital work.
The event took place at IE Tower and brought together Enrique Aznar, director of the IE–Elecnor Knowledge Hub on Ethical Business —an initiative of IE Foundation and Elecnor Foundation, in collaboration with EY— along with experts Valentín Bote Álvarez-Carrasco, director of Randstad Research, and Ricardo Pérez Garrido, professor at IE Business School. During the session, the speakers explored how emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, are reshaping the way organizations operate and make strategic decisions. They highlighted the need for leadership that integrates technological innovation with ethical principles and human purpose, ensuring that digital transformation creates value without compromising responsibility or autonomy.
At the end of the discussion, a Q&A session was opened for attendees, including members of student clubs such as the IE Technology and Innovation Club and the IE Governance of Change Club. Participants engaged in a conversation on the challenges of leading in increasingly automated environments, balancing efficiency with strategic risk, and developing the leadership skills needed to oversee complex technological systems responsibly.
The session concluded with a networking cocktail, offering attendees the opportunity to speak directly with the speakers and with each other, exchange ideas and experiences, and strengthen connections within the IE community.
