A journey through the history experiences, epistemologies, and knowledge systems of the peoples of Africa, Asia, the Americas, Australia and the Pacific, their diasporas and the global cultural, political and philosophical anti-colonial resistance that reveals testimonies of the past that question the hegemonic historiography. Texts of the ancient traditions of various civilizations of the world and testimonies of relevant figures that have struggled intellectually against the colonial and postcolonial structures of domination will be analyzed, opening the scope of knowledge for a comprehensive universal history.
Antumi Pallás Toasijé
Antumi Toasijé is a historian, writer and visual and plastic artist. He is president of the Council for the Elimination of Racial or Ethnic Discrimination (CEDRE), the main official entity dedicated to the fight against racism in Spain, which is linked to the Spanish Ministry of Equality. PhD in History, Culture and Thought from the University of Alcalá, with a thesis on the African presence in the Iberian Peninsula and the Balearic Islands from the Iron Age to the present day, Degree in General History from the University of the Balearic Islands, initial phase of the PhD in International Relations and African Studies at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, he has received numerous courses of specialization, an accredited University Professor by the ANECA has lectured in various universities and has conferenced in a diversity of countries. Author of two history books and a novel, as well as several academic and informative articles, Antumi Toasijé has promoted a wide range of political, cultural and social initiatives for the defense and empowerment of African and Afro-descendant communities in Europe, Africa and Latin America.
