Dr. Pedro Branco is a cryptographer whose research focuses on the foundations of public-key cryptography, post-quantum security, and secure multiparty computation. His work explores how to design cryptographic systems that remain secure even in the presence of quantum adversaries, bridging deep mathematical theory with practical security models.
He has co-authored papers in leading venues such as EUROCRYPT, ASIACRYPT, CRYPTO, TCC, and IEEE Access, advancing topics like oblivious transfer, zero-knowledge proofs, and functional encryption. His research has been supported by competitive grants, including the Cariplo Young Researcher Award for the project Trustless – How to Remove Trust Assumptions from Cryptographic Primitives.
Through his contributions, Dr. Branco aims to strengthen the mathematical and computational foundations of cryptography in the emerging post-quantum era.
