The IE Foundation Prizes in the Humanities celebrate the best written and audio-visual work presented each year by members of the IE community, be that students, alumni, faculty or staff.

Our humanistic vision, our capacity to perceive the world through a different lens and our unique voice are what sets the IE community apart. Each year, members of our community submit creative work in the form of short stories, poems, short essays, videos and photographs to a panel of judges comprised of IE’s board, teaching staff and recognised professionals in each category. The three best works in each category are then awarded a prize in an elegant ceremony, where the works are displayed as an exhibition, and winners in the written categories are given the opportunity to read their work aloud to a delighted audience. Each winner leaves the ceremony with a copy of the IE Foundation Prizes in the Humanities book, which includes all of the winning works from that year.
