The Global Policy Center (GPC) 2024 Activity Report highlights a year of dynamic research, strategic dialogue, and global engagement in addressing key geopolitical and economic challenges.
As the applied research hub of the IE School of Politics, Economics, and Global Affairs (SPEGA), the GPC has strengthened its position as a thought leader by fostering collaboration between policymakers, scholars, and private sector stakeholders.
The report showcases the GPC’s core research areas, including the Future of Europe, Transatlantic Relations in a Changing World, Bridging the South(s), and Global Perspectives. In 2024, GPC organized high-level discussions, including the Transatlantic Bridge Conference, Madrid & Barcelona Future of Europe Debates, and strategic engagements with global leaders such as Cecilia Malmström and Enrico Letta. Additionally, GPC played a pivotal role in international dialogues, hosting an official Think20 (T20) Side Event in Rio de Janeiro, where experts debated the future of multilateral governance.
Beyond research, the GPC expanded its Executive Education programs, equipping professionals with tools to navigate complex policy environments. The Center also deepened its global outreach, strengthening partnerships with leading institutions such as Johns Hopkins SAIS, Sciences Po Paris, the Brookings Institution, and the South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA).
