Nerea Alcázar-Cano

Nerea Alcázar-Cano holds a PhD. in Computational Soft Matter Physics from the Autonomous University of Madrid in 2022. During her doctoral research, she investigated stochastic transport phenomena in disordered media using Brownian Dynamics simulations, with applications to biological environments, advanced materials, and multiscale modelling. Following her PhD., she developed virtual experiments to study biophysical processes, including DNA molecules under mechanical stress at the Autonomous University of Madrid and elastic vesicles in ultrasound-driven flows at the University of Barcelona and the National Institute of Chemistry of Slovenia.

Her research focuses on multiscale biological systems that can be understood through the principles of Statistical Physics. She is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the IE University School of Science and Technology, where she studies dynamical biophysical systems to develop predictive computational tools for biomedicine and personalized therapies.
