This two-year program is offered jointly alongside the renowned Sciences Po Paris School of International Affairs.

On one hand, Sciences Po is a long-established leader in political science, international relations and public affairs education. And on the other, IE School of Politics, Economics & Global Affairs has an impressive track record of fostering innovation and entrepreneurship; partnering with such important organizations as the UN, EU, NATO and more; and empowering global leaders to drive positive change.

The dynamic partnership between these institutions has resulted in a program that is unlike any other on the market today. For both, the goal is to teach you to focus on the power of technology not just to disrupt, but to drive positive change around the world. Students of the Master in Technology and Global Affairs receive a comprehensive, 360-degree view of both fields as a result, enriched with a blend of insights from various academic disciplines and industry experts.

As a whole, this joint program revolves around three core pillars: Citizenship and Rights, Geopolitics and Security, and Prosperity and Economy. The first year will take you to Paris, where you’ll build a strong foundation in these central themes and start developing your technological skill set. You can also zero in on your individual area of interest with several concentrations on offer, as well as sharpen your analytical and methodological competencies through optional courses.

Over the summer, you have the choice to take part in internships in Paris, Spain or further afield. Then you’ll head to Madrid to start your second year, diving even deeper into the three pillars and complementing your learning with advanced tech courses and policy-related content. The program concludes with either a master’s thesis or a final project, which they will work on during the last two terms.

In the end, students will graduate with a thorough understanding of technology’s impact on both geopolitics and society, its utility in international policy-making and its immense potential for positive impact worldwide.
