I decided to join IE's PhD program because of its faculty. Besides its considerable research and teaching experience, IE's faculty has developed an encouraging and supportive environment for PhD students to pursue their own academic interests and develop their capabilities.

I decided to do a PhD because my interests on trying to find explanations of why things happen. While following my interests, I realized that best outcomes come from sharing ideas, and there was no better place for doing so that the academic world.

After the PhD I expect to become a well known academic and to contribute to the advancement of the Operations Management field from a formalization perspective.

My research interests include:
- Management of formalization and standardization initiatives
- Quality Management.
