Pratiksha Srivastava leads research on sustainable wastewater treatment and microbial electrochemical technologies. She specializes in electroactive bacteria and their integration into constructed wetlands and other bio-electrochemical systems for pollutant removal, resource recovery, and energy generation. Her work pioneered the integration of microbial fuel cells into constructed wetlands and first demonstrated electrode-dependent ammonium oxidation under anaerobic conditions. Recipient of the Green Talent Award and several international fellowships, she has authored more than 40 publications in leading journals, contributed numerous book chapters, and two patents on hybrid treatment technologies. Her research bridges environmental engineering and sustainability, advancing energy-efficient, nature-based solutions to global water challenges.
