History of IE Foundation
IE Foundation was established in 1997. According to its President Diego del Alcázar Silvela, its original objective was to “take whatever actions necessary to efficiently contribute to business development, and in particular, to benefit the least advantaged sectors of the population by promoting the incorporation of young people into business.
In the more than twenty-five years since then, the Foundation has worked to carry out this initial vision and expand its work to new areas.
Today, IE Foundation is dedicated to promoting IE University's values by developing collaborative initiatives and providing resources aimed at funding scholarships to empower of young talent, generating and disseminating cutting-edge knowledge, and contributing to the development of the IE community and society as a whole.
Geographically speaking, it now operates throughout Europe, North and South America, the Middle East, Northern Africa, and Southeast Asia. In the United States, it works specifically through its sister foundation, the IE US Fund, to further its mission and initiatives.

Annual Report
In its commitment to maximum transparency, IE Foundation publishes the Reports of the last four years. The 2021 and 2022 Annual Reports have been recently reviewed when an error was identified in the economic table and have been updated to reflect the official data of the audited accounts.
