Geoffroy Gérard was born in Belgium and is now based in Spain. He speaks Spanish, English and French and holds an Executive MBA from IE Business School, a Master in Corporate Communication from the Pontifical University of Salamanca and a Bachelor in Communication Sciences from the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium.

Over the past ten years, he has developed his professional career in higher education through various positions at IE. He was previously the Deputy Director of Communication, in charge of all national and international media coverage for IE University. He helped to develop a growth strategy for the institution, gaining experience in media and public relations, organization of corporate events and strategic and institutional relations.
He is currently an associate professor of Strategic Communication at IEU, as well as Managing Director of the Executive Education department’s Global Senior Fellows Initiative: a pioneering program directed at high-level business executives. He also directs several projects including the Hay Festival in Segovia and the Reinventing Higher Education conference, which brings together university presidents and other stakeholders to debate new trends and challenges in the sector.
