At IE Law School, we are committed to legal research and the promotion of law not only within our classrooms but in all areas of society. In addition, we want our students to have access to leading experts and academics in the legal field and be able to learn from them. Our Centers of Knowledge Exchange, founded with the support of leading companies from multiple sectors, help us fulfill this mission while fostering knowledge sharing and enriching the training provided at our institution.
LAWAHEAD CENTER ON THE LEGAL PROFESSION
The LawAhead Center on the Legal Profession is a center for research and the sharing of information and education for the legal sector and legal experts. It is designed to bring together professionals working in the legal industry with the aim of creating a long-term meaningful impact in society, whilst promoting the values of the legal profession.
Pérez-Llorca & IE Law School Chair for Commercial Law
The Pérez-Llorca/IE Chair for Commercial Law is devoted to applied research and outreach in the area of commercial law in order to spread awareness within law firms, companies and law schools. Its perspective is focused on legal practice in an international context.
DIGITAL LAW OBSERVATORY ECIJA & IE LAW SCHOOL
The Digital Law Observatory was created with the goal of exploring and researching the different legal dimensions and implications of the digital economy. The Observatory aims to become a platform for legal and academic research and knowledge sharing within this new legal framework.
JOSÉ MARÍA CERVELLÓ CHAIR
The José María Cervelló Chair was created in 2004 to honor José María Cervelló, a state attorney, professor and founder of IE University’s legal programs. The Chair aims to foster debate and the exchange of legal knowledge. Its main focus is providing scholarships for students with financial difficulties who have a brilliant academic record and wish to study a legal program at IE Law School.
