Media Tech Venture Day Tokyo

Technology is evolving faster than ever. Trends such as advanced robotics, cloud computing, big data, smart grids, and Artificial Intelligence are radically changing the business landscape, reshaping the nature of our economy, and changing the boundaries of what is possible and what is not. Such technologies bring enormous challenges to society, in terms of job-creation, security and sustainability. But they also provide powerful opportunities to media operators and enterprises that could help us reach unprecedented levels of prosperity.

With the aim of facilitating that process, IE School of Human Sciences & Technology (HST) and Keio Graduate School of Media Design are launching the first MediaTech Venture Day in Tokyo, a cutting-edge, highly competitive program is designed to identify and support start-ups that have the ability to have a positive impact on major challenges faced by media operators —whether private or public—as well as media & entertainment systems, so as to improve their operations thereby furthering the cause of journalism, sustainability of entertainment delivery and efficiency of marketing & advertisement.

In the coming months, we will select 6 start-ups based on their originality, financial viability, and ability to have a positive impact on major challenges for journalism, social media, marketing & advertisement and entertainment among others.

Finalists will have the opportunity to pitch their projects to a selected audience in Madrid composed of investors, government officials, business pioneers, and representatives of key industries. They will also have the chance to meet world-leading experts in their field and receive advice, insights and best practices.

Our goal is to create real networking and investment opportunities for those entrepreneurs that have ideas that can truly help the all parties within the media ecosystem to have better access, quality, sustainability and efficiency of use and delivery of communication media. Don't miss this opportuniy and apply to our Startup Competition. The call is open until November 17th!
