Concepción is an economist at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. She holds a master's in public administration and international development from the Harvard Kennedy School.

Concepción holds a doctorate in international economy and development from the Complutense University of Madrid.

Her doctorate research focused on the use of technology in social entrepreneurship.

She has published several papers in peer-reviewed journals and books. Professor Galdón also writes contributions for media outlets, and speaks at international conferences.

Concepción has experience working with NGOs, the UN Procurement Division, Santander Bank’s Latin America Division and the Liberian government under Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, 2011 Nobel Peace Prize recipient.
