IE Business School’s startup ecosystem embraces more than 300 startups every year as well as investors, programmers and corporate partners worldwide. The Incubator in Area 31 is at the very heart of this environment. Although IE Alumni have privileged access to the Incubator, applications by entrepreneurs not affiliated to IE will also be considered.
Startups in our Incubator recieve free office space for them and their teams, mentoring, training and extensive networking opportunities. Also, we work together with our partners to create the best possible service portfolio for entrepreneurs. Our partners include Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, Paypal, several law firms or the crowdfunding platform Fundedbyme among others.
Overall, startups in our Incubator have access to $150,000 worth of services together with the incredible experience of launching their startup from this world class school.

Meet the Startups in Area 31: Alterkeys
At the end of 2011, Chema and Joan wanted to rent their flat in London while returning for Christmas to Spain. After looking for the options they had, they were not convinced about the safety level offered. They began therefore to think about ways to offer a safe solution to hosts willing to rent their accommodation to travellers and finally suggested Patricia to join the project. Alterkeys was born.
