For many of our students the experience of being in the diverse and innovative environment of our onsite and virtual classrooms is reason enough on its own for doing an IE program. However, this experience goes hand in hand with the opportunities for career development and entrepreneurship that IE provides for all its graduates, not only during its programs but also throughout their careers.

IE and its Careers Department and Alumni Association have a twofold commitment. On the one hand they seek to help students and alumni take full advantage of their professional opportunities, while on the other they also provide the recruiters who hire our talent with support and training and give them access to the profiles that best suit their requirements.

To better meet these objectives, the Careers Department is divided into three specialized teams with specific skills that address three distinct but integrated tasks:

• Right from the beginning of a program Career Advising counsels each student individually about how to turn their career ambitions into personal branding expressed in a unique résumé, a consistent online presence, and building the right network. Doing this successfully will ensure these ambitions can be achieved.
• Career Education designs training units that add to the individual work done with each student. Its main goals are to develop career skills and deliver specialized training for each sector, functional area and even geographical area.
• Recruiter Relations is divided by geographical areas and industries and works closely with recruiters to learn about the skills and competences they are seeking to develop in their teams. It then puts forward the most suitable student and alumni candidates based on the latter’s interests, experience and education.

Seamless integration of the activities of Careers and Alumni with IE’s International Offices ensures that personalized advice, continuous learning and access to job opportunities are available throughout the careers of our graduates in a global environment.
