The Role of Cloud Computing in Enhancing European Competitiveness

Today we hosted a high-level discussion on the role of cloud computing in enhancing European competitiveness, bringing together decision-makers from government, industry leaders and subject-matter experts.

Key topics explored included:

• The positive impact of cloud technology on the competitiveness of the European economy.
• Strategies to accelerate cloud adoption in Europe, particularly within the public sector and among small and medium-sized enterprises.
• The need for a globally competitive and trustworthy European cloud ecosystem, along with its broader economic and geopolitical implications.

The session was moderated by our Director, Irene Blázquez, and our Executive Director, Carlos Luca de Tena. An introductory presentation and concluding reflections were provided by Judith Arnal, Senior Fellow at the Elcano Royal Institute.
