Tales Padilha is a PhD Candidate at the Department of Economics at the University of Oxford. His research focuses on time series econometric methods and their applications to financial econometrics. Particularly, on the application of novel statistical and computational techniques to questions in the fields of asset pricing and market microstructure.

He is also interested in different aspects of empirical monetary economics, including the effects of digital currencies on monetary policy and the banking system.
