Salvador Ros

Salvador Ros is Associate Professor at UNED (National Distance Education University) at the School of Computer Science. He is currently the Head of Innovation Laboratory in Digital Humanities (LINHD), Coordinator of INFRA CLS H2020 project at UNED, POSTDATA ERC Starting Grant Associate Technical PI and Technical Director of LyrIAcs Proof of Concept.  In the academic field he coordinates the Innovation and Technology in Border Security Module at the European Master’s degree in Strategic Border Management, as well as the Director of the Master of Big Data´s architectures and technologies. Salvador Ros has been Director of Learning Technologies at UNED for six years and Vice Dean of Technologies at Computer Science School for six years. He has been coordinator of DESIR H2020 project at UNED.

Salvador received the Extraordinary Doctoral Award in the UNED for his PhD dissertation and Two special best paper awards and one poster award as well. He is strategical and innovation Manager in Public sector. He graduated in the Leadership Program for Public Sector Management by IESE Bussines School. Universidad de Navarra, in the Strategic Senior Management program for Universities by the Universidad de Nebrija and the Politécnica de Barcelona, as well as in the Leadership Program for Innovation and entrepreneurship in Public Sector by Deusto Bussiness School.

He is a senior member of the IEEE Education society since 2007. His research and professional activity is focused on enhanced learning technologies for distance learning scenarios and learning analytics, Bigdata, and AI applied to Science and Humanities.
