Mission

GAPA leads and manages a diverse portfolio of partnership development activities with academic institutions and networks worldwide. This includes student and faculty exchange with close to 300 academic institutions around the globe, joint and dual degree, summer and study abroad programs, global immersion modules, strategic alliances, and other purpose-driven collaborations.

Civica Alliance

In 2022, IE University joined the CIVICA alliance, the European University of Social Sciences. The Alliance comprises ten leading European higher education institutions that share similar core values, a global outlook and academic expertise, while bringing fresh approaches and innovative ideas to the higher education landscape.

International mobility office

IEU’s International Mobility Office (IMO) manages all outbound and inbound undergraduate exchange students as well as visiting students participating in the Global Explorer’s Program (GEP). Every year, IE sends and receives 1000+ exchange students to and from 280+ universities worldwide.

Global Immersion Modules

These modules aim to add value as well as complement the learning experience offered at the home institution. Modules are fully customized to meet the needs and learning objectives of partner institutions and the profiles of participating students. Participants broaden their scope of knowledge and gain valuable cross-cultural experience.

Structure

Carefully designed with a flexible structure and a duration of 3 to 10 days, each program blends interactive academic sessions, workshops, speaker sessions, as well as cultural and corporate visits.

Programs allow participants to explore a broad range of areas and topics and help them foster a global strategic and holistic vision.

A sample one-week program may include:

  • 8, 10, 12+ Academic Sessions
  • 1 or 2 Company Visits or Corporate Presentations
  • 2 to 3 Cultural Activities
  • 1 or 2 Social Events

Dual Degrees

Dual degrees offer students the option to complete a degree at IE and at a partner university, allowing them to experience two cultures and two learning environments whilst specializing in two complementary fields of knowledge.
