Richard Rogers

Senior Partner at Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners

Senior Partner at Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, is best known for his work on the Pompidou Centre in Paris, the Lloyd’s building and Millennium Dome both in London, the Senedd in Cardiff, and the European Court of Human Rights building in Strasbourg. His practice won the international competition forTerminal 4 at Barajas Airport organized by Aena in 1997, the terminal was completed in 2005.

Rogers studied at the Architectural Association in London (1954–59) and Yale University (1961–62). He is the 2007 Pritzker Architecture Prize Laureate, recipient of the 1985 RIBA Gold Medal and the 2006 Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement (La Biennale di Venezia). Rogers was knighted in 1991, made a life peer in 1996 and a Member of the Order of the Companions of Honour (CH) in 2008.
