FULL-TIME PROGRAMS NON EUROPEAN STUDENTS (VISAS)

Our team of specialized advisors will issue a set of documents to support your Student Visa application.

To contact our office, you can email us at student.services@ie.edu or book a call with us through the following link. You can also book a call with our team of specialized Advisors so they help you with any questions you may have regarding your move to Spain:

Apply for your Student Visa

Once your place reservation at IE University is secured, you will receive a Welcome Email with information related to your application. Please check this Welcome email as well as the Visa Section of the Onboarding Platform Process (OPP), which you will have to fill in as soon as you have access to it, so that we can start preparing your Visa supporting documents in due time.

Once we receive your questionnaire, we will send you a digital copy of your documents to the email address you provide. Please contact the Spanish Consulate that pertains to your place of legal residence to obtain a list of updated required documents to complete your application.

When can I apply to get my student visa?

You will be eligible to apply to your Student Visa 90 days before the start of the academic year. Some Spanish Consulates may allow applications within 180 days before the start of the academic year.

Thus, we recommend you contact the Consulate well in advance to book an appointment, if needed, within the right timeframes.

Kindly note the Consulate can take a few weeks to process your application. You must also take into account the timeframes to gather all necessary documents, which usually involve notarization/legalization. Thus, please make sure you contact your local Spanish Consulate well in advance.

Family & Partners

Can my family travel to Spain with me?

If you are planning to come to Spain with your family, our team will be able support you with the immigration process of your spouse and/or children.

Health Insurance

All IE students must have full health insurance coverage, to cover any illness or accident that may occur during their stay in Spain.

For non-EU students and EU students that would rather be covered by a private health insurance, our department has special agreements with Spanish Health Insurance providers: Adeslas, Cigna, Sanitas and ASISA. All four offer full coverage policies with special prices for IE students, which comply with Spanish Consulate’s established requirements for Student Visas, and residence permits. Please note travel insurance is not valid for these purposes.

We highly recommend students covered by international health insurance providers, to investigate all policy procedures, requirements and limitations of their insurance. All IE students must have full health insurance coverage, to cover any illness or accident that may occur during their stay in Spain & expatriation.
