Lizbeth Hernandez, a HR professional, was born and raised in the small town of Aguadilla in Puerto Rico. She later moved to San Juan to pursue a Bachelor in Human Resources Management at the University of Puerto Rico in Rio Piedras. While there, she was involved in the Society of Human Resources Association (SHRM) and was a collaborator for Her Campus, a female-led campus publication.
She went on to join IE Business School, where she graduated with her Master in Talent Development & Human Resources.

Here’s a little about me: I’m passionate about human resources and helping others achieve their full potential. I think that’s what HR is really all about—applied psychology combined with business. As an introverted people-person, I like to look at the ways people’s workplace experience can be improved. My ultimate goal is to make a difference as a human resources professional.
My personality type is INFJ, which means I feel more comfortable in small groups or by myself. However, the past few years have boosted my desire to break out of my shell and spend more time interacting with others. In my free time, I enjoy painting, reading, and learning how to cook.
This opportunity to be featured by Uncover IE is exciting because I love reading about people’s stories. I’m also delighted to collaborate with the team! I’ve only had one previous similar experience with Her Campus and it was wonderful.
The only thing I look back on and wish I’d done differently is joining them from the very beginning, so I’m delighted I get to do it here.
Just as with cooking, I also improved my social media use. I follow almost all IE University student clubs to learn more about everything that happens on campus and in the student and alumni communities. I look forward to writing about these stories and what happens in the world of human resources.
