A message from our IE President
Today, more than ever, we stand united in our shared mission to drive positive change in our society, empowering future generations of talent, and embracing diversity.
At IE, we strongly believe that education and diversity are the path towards a more sustainable, creative, and peaceful society. Our university has consistently been recognized as a top player in the field of education, nurturing brilliant minds and fostering a vibrant learning environment. We take immense pride in our distinguished faculty, exceptional students, and cutting-edge research that continues to shape the world.
While we celebrate our achievements, we recognize the need to forge ahead in a world of rapid change. The challenges we face today transcend borders and demand a global approach. The accelerating velocity of societal change necessitates a comprehensive and sustainable response. As we look toward the next 50 years, we are devoted to fostering change within society through lifelong learning that is not only human-centered and entrepreneurial but also embraces diverse thought.

Donor’s Fiscal Benefits
Donor’s Fiscal Benefits
There are tax advantages for both Spanish residents and non-residents, as well as legal entities, who pay income or corporate tax in Spain when they donate to non-profit organizations.
As a Spain-based entity, IE Foundation is governed by the Ley de Fundaciones 50/2022 and Ley de Incentivos Fiscales al Mecenazgo 49/2002, which regulates Spanish foundations and as such contemplates fiscal benefits for both individual donors and legal entities or companies registered in Spain.
- Individuals (Personal Income Tax / IRPF) may deduct 80% of their full donation for contributions of up to 250 eur; from that amount onwards, the deduction is 40% of the gift amount. For recurring donations for at least three consecutive years (same gift amount or more), the tax deduction percentage increases to 45% (with a limit of 10% of the taxable income).
- Legal entities may deduct 40% of the full donation amount for corporate tax purposes. For recurring donations for at least three consecutive years (same gift amount or more), the deduction is 50% (with a limit of 10% of the taxable income).
US taxpayers who want to donate to IE Foundation can do so while receiving fiscal benefits by donating through the IE US Fund, a US based 501(c) 3 charity.
Additionally, IE Foundation has a partnership with Transnational Giving Europe (TGE), a network of foundations in 19 European countries that enable charitable donations to be made internationally, granting fiscal benefits in the donor’s country or fiscal residence, and ensuring that the procedure has been cleared with the fiscal authorities in all relevant jurisdictions.
