IE University launches Illuminated Bricks Campaign to light the way for future generations of IE Talent
Donation campaign raises awareness of IE Foundation’s mission to create positive societal change.
Following the inauguration of the IE Tower, IE University’s new vertical campus in the north of Madrid, IE Foundation has announced its Illuminated Bricks Campaign. The campaign is focused on spreading awareness of the foundation’s goal of helping future generations of IE University students and alumni transform themselves and their surroundings through education.
With the Illuminated Bricks Campaign, donors who give 5,000 euros or more to the IE General Scholarship Fund will be honored with one of 62 limited edition bricks on the panoramic terrace of the IE Tower, which boasts 360º stunning views of the Madrid skyline. For five years, each brick will pay special tribute to the donor as a symbol of impact and inspiration. In addition, all contributing donors will be featured in the donor honor roll of the IE Foundation Annual Report.
“The IE Tower has become a beacon of light for the future of education, and our Illuminated Bricks Campaign enables donors to be a part of that future when they support the next generation of young talent at IE University, to help them access higher education and reach their full potential. It is our goal, and the goal of the IE Community at large that talent is not dimmed by lack of financial resources,” said Gonzalo Garland, Executive Vice President of the IE Foundation.
Each year, the general scholarship fund support more than 200 IE University students who demonstrate academic and individual merit and face strong financial barriers. Established in 1997, the IE Foundation is a non-profit organization that promotes the institution’s core values by providing funding and financial support to the IE community. The foundation has granted more than 6,000 scholarships in the past five years, awarding more than 20 million euros in scholarships in 2020 alone.
“We have deep gratitude for all of our donors that have generously joined forces with us to support IE Talent and grow the impact of the IE General Scholarship Fund. Together, we are making a difference and building a better society.”
Julia Sanchez, Head of Global Alumni Relations of IE University
