Scief launches the Islamic Finance Changemakers Challenge

On June 22nd, one of IE Foundation’s centers of excellence, the Saudi Spanish Center for Islamic Economics and Finance, presented “The Islamic Finance Changemakers Competition”.

This initiative, jointly organized with the Islamic Development Bank, aims to build a global movement to make societies more equitable through accelerating entrepreneurship and boosting those projects that solve a social problem.

“We aspire to contribute to change the world within the Islamic finance industry through the promotion of innovative projects, pushing powerful actions capable of causing a real and tangible impact in society”

This initiative is focused on supporting Islamic Finance Changemakers by providing them with magnificent awards to help grow their initiatives, be it the first position awarded with $15.000 plus one year of IE Mentoring Program.

Changemakers that are interested in participating, ought to present their projects before September 30th in one of the following areas: Islamic Fintech, Islamic Microfinance, Islamic Digital Economy or Islamic Creative Economy

This initiative is one example of IE University pillars. Entrepreneurial spirit forms an integral part of IE and its commitment to fostering an ecosystem that facilitates the funding of business projects as an engine for growth and social welfare.
