Thanks to donations from top companies, many talented students can access higher education at IE University.

One of the companies actively impacting students’ lives is Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV). Since 2015, this multinational renewable energy company has fully covered the cost of education for eight students from several countries, including Jordan, Uruguay, and Armenia. In February, Gonzalo Garland, Executive Vice-President of IE Foundation, together with five FRV Young Talented Leaders Scholarship grantees—Amina Adwan, Tala Jaara, Adrián Vázquez, José Durán, and Milena Avagyan—met the managing board of FRV. At the reunion, the CEO of FRV, Daniel Sagi-Vela, signed a new scholarship for a gifted student from Extremadura, further demonstrating the goodwill of FRV and their dedication to social change and the development of the students.

The efforts to continually provide for talented students at IE University are also backed by Fundación Casa de México en España. With a fund created with support from Mexican businessman and philanthropist Valentín Diez Morodo, they help hundreds of students continue their higher education at IE University. In February,  IE Foundation visited the NGO together with all the IE Foundation fellows supported through the Valentín Diez Morodo Scholarship Fund. This event served as a way for the students to talk about their projects and share their experiences.

Esteban Rubiano is another student in a long list of scholarship recipients from great companies that support promising young people, helping them get the education they need to make positive changes in society. “I have no words to express my gratitude for fulfilling this dream,” said Esteban while meeting with Olga García, General Counsel and Head of Corporate Affairs at Cubico Sustainable Ventures. The Celsia-Cubico Young Talented Leaders scholarship program covers all the educational costs for both Esteban and Maria José Jaramillo, 2nd-year students. Lastly, IE Foundation Scholarship grantees cohort 2022 of the Kistefos Young Talented Leaders Scholarship got the privilege to meet with Christen Sveaas, Chairman and Owner of the Norwegian holding, scholars had the opportunity to share their experience on IE University campus and their goals for the future, while Christen Sveaas gave them important tips for their career development and their impact back in their countries after graduation.

IE University, through the IE Foundation and partnership with these companies, hopes to continue working to support and positively impact the lives of talented students.
