New Technologies for New Cities

Digital technologies are playing an increasingly important role in architecture and design, as can be seen in many areas of creation. For example, some technologies make use of user-generated data to create impressive visualizations. Jerónimo van Schendel, Academic Director of the Master in Business for Architecture and Design at the IE School of Architecture and Design and Co-founder of Bildia, discusses the subject with Carlo Ratti, Architect and Professor at MIT, where he runs the MIT Senseable City Lab. From his lab, Ratti leads a research group that is analyzing how new technologies are changing the way cities are viewed, designed and experienced.
