David Lázaro

David is Industrial Engineer and founder at WSS, he has strong technical background combined with powerful commercial skills and PNL based approach. He is an expert in multiple commercial real estate sustainability initiatives, including GRESB, LEED, WELL, BREEAM, LCA, LCBI, WIREDSCORE, Energy Simulation and TDD.

Corporate Experience

David stated his career in IDOM in 1999 and David took part of several EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) new building, offices, malls. David also spent four years working in Foster Wheeler Iberia S.A. as team leader where he was responsible for various projects focusing on installations and legal conditions for new construction. He joined CBRE in 2006 to evolve sustainability initiatives that deliver cost effective quantitative and qualitative results for CBRE’s clients across continental Europe. In addition, David was responsible for business development within Mainland Europe leveraging CBRE’s global scale and expertise to drive value for clients. David Lázaro was leading LEED EMEA HUB – GGS (Global Corporate Services), part of the central EMEA Energy and Sustainability team based in the UK. In 2015 stablish WSS - Welltech Sustainability Solutions to reduce real estate risk, improving quality and efficiency of the space and creating healthy spaces for healthy people. WSS seeks economic return helping their customers use less energy and buy better energy and achieve international recognition applying LEED, BREEAM and WELL based methodologies.

Academic Experience

David heads up at IE Executive Education the Advanced ESG Real Estate Program and he is also Professor at the advanced Asset Management program at IE Executive Education. From 2017 to 2023 was co-Director at Advanced Real Estate Innovation Program: Proptech.
