IE Business School retains first place in the Financial Times Online MBA Ranking 2026
According to the FT, IE Business School comes out on top for employability, pay, global mobility, ESG and more.
This is the fourth consecutive year that the Global MBA has been awarded this top accolade, reflecting IE Business School’s commitment to providing cutting-edge online education tailored to the evolving needs of modern professionals.
The Financial Times Online MBA Ranking is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious benchmarks for business education worldwide. It evaluates programs based on a range of criteria, including career progression, salary increase and faculty diversity, providing a comprehensive view of the value delivered to participants.
In particular, the Global MBA targets ambitious professionals, executives and entrepreneurs who want to accelerate their careers, pivot into a new industry or launch new ventures without interrupting their trajectory. Its part-time schedule is designed to allow participants to upskill while maintaining their existing personal and professional responsibilities.
The program is offered in an online, in-person or blended format, with the latter incorporating practical international experiences in global business hubs such as Shanghai, San Francisco, Riyadh and New York. Participants can personalize their learning experience through electives and professional specializations, while also receiving tailored executive coaching.
Commenting on the achievement, Lucia Egea, Vice Dean of IE Business School, said, "We are proud to be ranked #1, for the fourth consecutive year, by the Financial Times, confirming IE University as a consistent leader in online education. We remain committed to supporting a global alumni network spanning 185 countries while preparing responsible leaders for a world profoundly transformed by technology."
The award also highlights the key factors that contribute to these rankings. IE Business School’s Global MBA scored highly for average graduate salary and was first for pay increase, with an average rise of 42.3% after completing the program. Diversity was another standout area. This year, 49% of the program faculty and 46% of its students are female, while 84% of faculty and 95% of students are international.
The Global MBA also excelled in the ESG and net-zero teaching category, again achieving first place among other online MBA programs. This accolade reinforces our institution’s commitment to sustainability and position as one of the first carbon-neutral universities in Europe.
