The 2025 Alumni Meeting takes place at IE Tower
On 24 October, more than 200 IE Alumni returned to IE Tower for the 2025 Alumni Meeting, a day organized by IE Lifelong Learning in collaboration with IE Global Alumni Relations. Designed as a space for reconnection, networking and reflection, the event reaffirmed the strength of the IE Community as a dynamic and evolving global network.
The day brought together alumni from a wide range of programs and professional backgrounds, offering participants the opportunity to reconnect with former classmates, exchange ideas and engage with perspectives that are shaping today’s world. The event began with a plenary session on "Democracies under strain: challenges in the face of a new global order," led by alumni Alicia Coronil Jónsson, Félix Sanz Roldán and Ramón Pérez-Maura, and moderated by Giuseppe Tringali.
Following the opening discussion, participants attended a series of masterclasses led by alumni and IE University faculty and staff. The sessions covered themes such as technology, leadership and human connection, reflecting IE University’s multidisciplinary approach. Enrique Cortés Alonso explored the concept of “radical value creation” in unforgiving environments, while Pilar Rojo, PhD, and María García Ruiz introduced attendees to the power of collective intelligence. Irene Alda gave her audience an insight into the capabilities of virtual realities, highlighting new ways of learning and engagement.
Other sessions addressed the evolving nature of work life and leadership. Álvaro Vásquez reflected on the profound transformation currently being seen in the workplace, while Xabier Olza created a space for authentic connection and spontaneous conversations. Daniel Valtueña explored "Leadership Through the Arts," and Lisa Bevill focused on performance and well-being in her session "Leading with Vitality." Marcelino Lominchar took his audience on a journey through the history of disruption, and Bernardo Crespo Velasco examined the real potential of artificial intelligence.
The day concluded with a closing session led by JC Redondo, director of the IE Creativity Center, who explored "The Transformative Power of Creativity." He emphasized innovation, curiosity and multidisciplinary thinking as key qualities for today’s leaders, leaving participants with plenty to reflect on.
This meeting represented a chance for past participants to reconnect with their peers who are shaping change across industries, sharing insights and challenging assumptions. At IE Executive Education, learning is a continuous journey, where people who were made for more adapt to make big things happen.
