QUESTIONS ABOUT THE PROGRAM
1. CAN YOU PROVIDE MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE OPTION OF ATTAINING A MASTER’S DEGREE THROUGH THE PROGRAM, INCLUDING THE EXPECTED DURATION, PREREQUISITES, ADMISSION PROCESS, AND WHETHER THE DEGREE WILL BE ISSUED BY IE?
- Applicants must have completed all the online courses of the program to be eligible for Module 4, the residential period, that leads to graduation. Before this period, additionally, the applicant must complete the ieGAT, submit English certification and bachelor’s diploma, and have a personal interview with IE Admissions.
- An applicant that does one course at a time would do the entire program over approximately 2 years and a half.
- Yes, the private degree is issued by IE Business School.
2. IS IT CORRECT TO ASSUME THAT THE PROGRAM WILL TAKE ABOUT 3,5 YEARS TO COMPLETE, GIVEN THAT IT CONSISTS OF 40 COURSES THAT EACH LAST ONE MONTH?
Not exactly. There are 30 online courses that take one month each to complete, and yes: including vacational breaks this would take three years. Module 4, nevertheless, is a full-time residential period where you take 6 Courses and do a Capstone Project in only 4 weeks. Additionally, we expect some applicants to wish to do two Courses simultaneously at a later stage, and potentially this way they could speed up the duration.
3. CAN YOU PROVIDE MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE “INTERVIEW” SECTION OF THE APPLICATION PROCESS?
There is no interview until right before Module 4 and the face-to-face experience in Spain.
4. CAN I APPLY FOR ANY PROGRAM TYPE? OR THERE IS A SPECIFIC PROGRAM TO ZAIN EMPLOYEE?
In line with Zain 4SIGHT strategy the collaboration concerns and covers only the online program in Digital Transformation. Please restrain from applying to any other program at the school unless it is on your own personal account.
5. IS IT POSSIBLE TO APPLY FOR A MASTER’S DEGREE IN THE FIELD OF BIG DATA AND BUSINESS ANALYTICS?
The collaboration with IE Business School is on the Digital Transformation Program only, specifically designed for Zain and its staff.
6. IS IT POSSIBLE TO TAKE MULTIPLE COURSES DURING A SINGLE MONTH TO FINISH THE PROGRAM SOONER?
Potentially it will be an option to do two courses simultaneously and this way speed up the duration, but currently we will be releasing the courses one at a time.
7. DOES THE PROGRAM NEED TO BE COMPLETED WITHIN THE DATES LISTED ON THE WEBSITE (MAY 2023 – FEB 2024)?
These dates are just a way to transmit that the 10 Module 1 Courses are scheduled one every month. To this will be added vacational periods. Admitted applicants will receive more detailed agendas of the study periods.
8. WILL ALL 40 COURSES BE FULLY FUNDED BY ZAIN, OR ARE THERE ANY FEES THAT EMPLOYEES WILL NEED TO COVER?
Zain will cover all fees for 2,000 eligible employees.
9. WILL THE PARTICIPANTS GET ANY CERTIFICATE AFTER FINISHING EACH MODULE (MODULE 1, 2 AND 3).
Yes, after each online course you obtain a badge (a Course credential). 5 courses of a Module will lead to an Advanced Certificate, and all 10 Courses of a Module gives you a Diploma (this initial Diploma is in Business Foundations). With the three online Diplomas and the residential period including the Capstone Project you obtain the Master’s Degree.
10. HOW MANY COURSES DOES MODULE 4 HAVE AND HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
Module 4 is a 4 weeks’ period in Madrid, full time. The proximate schedule these weeks will be of four sessions of 80 mins every day, five days a week. You will take 6 Courses, and in parallel work on your Capstone Project, to be presented to a tribunal, and leading to your graduation.
Zain will cover the cost of the residential period.
11. WILL CLASSES TAKE PLACE DURING WORKING HOURS?
Most of the course content is asynchronous and you can do it in your own pace when you have time. The exact timing can be decided in agreement with your line manager or after working hours.
For every Course there will be one live session of 30-45 minutes with your Learning Facilitator and one live session of 80 minutes with the professor. These will in general be scheduled late afternoons, but the exact planification will depend on their availability.
We estimate that you will commit 5-7 hours a week to the Courses.
12. WILL THIS OPPORTUNITY BE AVAILABLE EVERY YEAR, OR IS IT A ONE-TIME OFFERING?
You can apply whenever you fit the criteria. Previously agreed with Zain, we will open new Cohorts as soon as we have 40 people.
13. WHAT IS A “CORPORATE/COLLABORATION” AGREEMENT, AND WHAT IS THE AGREEMENT ID?
This step is waivered for all Zain applicants. Kindly click “No” and complete your application to secure your seat.
14. CAN YOU PROVIDE MORE DETAILS ABOUT THE ZAIN DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION UNIVERSITY, INCLUDING THE COST TO ENROLL?
- Regarding costs, Zain is fully sponsoring the application of 2,000 employees so you will have no costs to cover.

No, all applicants must apply using their Zain email.
16. WHAT SHOULD APPLICANTS DO IF THEY STARTED BUT STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MOTIVATION SECTION OF THE REGISTRATION PROCESS?
They can Save and then start from where they left the application.
17. WHAT INFORMATION IS NEEDED FROM APPLICANTS, AND WHAT ARE THE NEXT STEPS AFTER SUBMITTING THE FORM?
If you fulfill the requirements, IE Business School will confirm your seat and send you an email to confirm your selection.
18. WILL APPLICANTS RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION EMAIL AFTER SUBMITTING THE FORM? WHAT WILL HAPPEN AFTER?
Yes, all applicants will receive a confirmation of their form being submitted. After it is reviewed, IE Business School will notify participants on their enrollment and start dates if they are eligible.
19. SOME APPLICANTS HAVE ENCOUNTERED ISSUES WITH THE MANDATORY FIELDS FOR CURRENT COUNTRY/TERRITORY RESIDENCE AND PROVINCE/STATE. CAN YOU PROVIDE GUIDANCE ON HOW TO PROCEED?

20. DOES THE UNIVERSITY SUPPORT PARTICIPANTS WITH VISA ISSUING FOR THE RESIDENTIAL PERIOD (MODULE 4)?
Yes.
21. THE FIRST MODULE IS A REPEAT OF OUR MBA, SO CAN WE JUST APPLY TO THE SECOND MODULE ONLY AND ONWARDS? YES. IF SO, WHAT DO WE NEED TO DO?
You can apply whenever the link for registration to Module 2 is shared around October of 2023. Nevertheless, if you plan to pursue the Master of the Digital Transformation program, you will be required to have taken all the courses.
22. IS THERE A SUMMER BREAK?
Yes, there will be no Courses in August and all other Kuwait and Spanish holidays will be respected in the study plans.
23. What happens if I fail a Course?
If you fail a Course, you will have the opportunity to reassess it. The passing grade resulting from this second chance will be capped. Should you fail again, it will not be possible to continue in the program.
