Exponentiality through Management & Technology

Professionals who understand both technology and business, and how to connect them, are not just valuable; they are essential. This is where breakthrough ideas emerge and leaders create solutions that transform industries and society. To truly lead in this space, it’s not enough to think incrementally—it takes an exponential mindset: one that sees opportunities where others see limits and aims not for a 10% improvement, but for a 10X impact.

By cultivating a growth and exponential mindset, The Management Xponential Technology (MXT) provides students with the knowledge, tools, and networks needed to create meaningful change at the powerful intersection of business and technology. Throughout the journey, students will engage with some of the world’s brightest minds, entrepreneurs, innovators, and leaders who have made a significant impact, offering firsthand inspiration and guidance to support their own transformative journeys.

This is an optional, interdisciplinary experience that students can pursue alongside their degree at IE University.

WHO IS MXT FOR?

The MXT is designed for students with extraordinary ambition who are committed to transforming the world through disruptive and innovative technologies. It is primarily open to dual-degree undergraduate and graduate students from IE Business School and the IE School of Science and Technology, as well as to:

  • IE School of Science and Technology single degree students with a strong academic background in Business.
  • IE Business School single degree students with a strong academic background in Science & Technology.

  • Management

    Management is not just about running organizations—it’s about reimagining them. Students learn how to lead with vision, navigate uncertainty, and turn ambitious ideas into scalable initiatives that create meaningful impact across industries.

  • Exponential

    At the heart of MXT is an exponential mindset—one that goes beyond incremental progress. Students learn to challenge conventional thinking, see opportunities where others see limits, and pursue breakthrough solutions that aim not for a 10% improvement, but for a 10X impact.

  • Technology

    Technology becomes a catalyst for innovation and transformation. Through exposure to fields such as AI, biotech, robotics, quantum technologies, clean tech, and space tech, students develop the ability to understand emerging technologies, evaluate their potential, and design scalable solutions that drive real-world transformation.

Module I: Embracing an Xponential Mindset

Students are introduced to the principles of exponential thinking, exploring how breakthrough ideas emerge and how transformative impact is created. Through self-reflection, goal setting, and insights from visionary leaders, they learn to move beyond conventional approaches, identify opportunities for transformative impact, and develop the mindset, resilience, and ambition needed to drive meaningful change."

IMMERSIVE LEARNING BEYOND THE CLASSROOM

    Leadership Workshops

    Learn from accomplished leaders who share the experiences, decisions, and lessons that shaped their careers. These sessions encourage students to think beyond conventional limits, embrace a 10X vision, and develop the leadership skills needed to drive meaningful impact.

  • 02.

    Mindset Coaching Sesions

    Students reflect on their aspirations, strengthen their growth mindset, and align their goals with the impact they want to create. Through one-on-one coaching, they gain practical insights from professionals leveraging technology in groundbreaking ways, helping them refine their ideas and maximize their impact.

  • 03.

    Immersive Experiences

    Each edition includes a unique scientific or technological experience. In 2025, students visited the NEXT Experiment at the Canfranc Underground Laboratory, gaining firsthand insight into pioneering physics research and its real-world impact.

  • 04.

    Unblockers Sessions

    CEOs, CTOs, and other industry leaders provide targeted feedback on students' group projects and personal ideas. These interactive workshops help students strengthen both the technological and strategic aspects of their proposals while offering valuable networking opportunities through a closing cocktail reception.
