Top Intergovernmental Organizations Hosted by Talent and Careers at 5th Edition of IGOs Day
Record-breaking participation and seven new firms mark the expansion of this annual multilateral career fair.
IE Talent and Careers hosted 24 leading intergovernmental organizations at the IE Tower for the fifth edition of Intergovernmental Organizations Day, marking the event’s largest participation to date with seven more firms than last year.
The fair connected students with top global institutions–including UNICEF, the World Bank Group and NATO–over a six-hour networking event focused on recruitment insights, career pathways and the growing demand for international talent.
This year, IGOs Day was held in conjunction with the 21st Career Development Roundtable (CDR), the multilateral sector’s largest annual meeting for HR leaders, reinforcing IE’s role as a hub for international talent development and strategic collaboration.
Tammy Singer, Senior Associate Director of Talent & Careers and organizer of the event, highlighted its alignment with IE’s mission.
"As a business school, we cannot detach from purpose – it runs in our DNA. IE’s ability to bring together so many leading international organizations reflects not only our deep engagement with the world of multilateralism, but also how these institutions now view us: as a top global university producing human capital that contributes meaningfully to their missions."
This year’s strong presence underscored growing demand among IGOs for skilled, agile talent capable of contributing to complex global challenges. Daiga Barone, Talent Acquisition Team Lead for the International Criminal Court, emphasized the qualities ICC seeks in new recruits.
"We are looking for professionals with technical skills who are motivated, eager, and committed to their field," said Barone. "Applicants must have ample communications and collaboration skills, but also be open minded seeing as we have a diverse workforce who work in multicultural environments."
The event also provided organizations with an opportunity to deepen their relationships with the university community. Paul Frederic Badiane, Chief Performance Management at UNICEF, reflected on the value of engaging with IE’s student body and institutional mission.
"I have enjoyed familiarising myself with IE over the past few days; from seeing the university's diversity to getting to meet students who look to have an impact in this world," said Badiane. "As I return to my organization we will see how UNICEF can continue to grow our partnership with IE."
With increased participation and strengthened ties to the global multilateral ecosystem, the fifth edition of IGOs Day marks a significant milestone in IE Talent & Careers’ efforts to expand opportunities for students while positioning IE as a leading partner for international organizations seeking the next generation of global professionals.
