The Young Corporate Program (YCP) connects IE University’s brightest and boldest young talent with organizations coming from many different sectors.
This innovative program offers ambitious bachelor’s students a tailor-made professional experience with a specific company that spans during several periods of their degree. The YCP consolidates ties between today’s business frontline and tomorrow’s corporate change-makers, unlocking a shared future of talent, innovation and growth.
Through a highly competitive selection process — based on a wide range of criteria developed together with the partner companies — the YCP narrows down the application pool from hundreds to just a few dozen. The very best are selected and paired up with a specific company to work with.
It’s a 4-year Program available to first-year single and second-year dual students from Madrid & Segovia campuses.
The Program is designed to give gradual professional experience to high-performing bachelor’s students, carried out alongside their academic studies at IE University. Participating in all the activities offered by the program is not mandatory for companies; instead, the program seamlessly adapts to the unique needs of each company.
In the initial pre-selection phase, we invite IE University’s most competitive, committed and creative undergrads to come forward, submitting their applications and CVs for consideration by IE Talent & Careers.
The program begins with the pre-selected students making online or in-person contact with the companies, which will provide them an idea of the corporate culture. Students will have the opportunity to spend the day at a specific company doing activities such as company presentations and Q&As, amongst others. From these pre-selected students, companies choose the final participants that will continue in the program.
The students will have the opportunity to receive mentorship from company executives. The individual experience may look different depending on the company, and the activities will be set by the individual mentor. Students of the Segovia campus will receive online mentoring.
The shadowing phase of the program involves observing professionals from different departments to discover what day-to-day life is like in the company. Typically, this will last one week at a location determined by the company.
This phase will start with a summer internship, and it can be extended to last six months in total. The particulars of the internships will vary depending on the company and they can take place in either national or international offices. Each internship is tailored to both the business’s needs and the student’s individual talents.
At the final stage, students will have the option of writing their final thesis, so long as the proposed project falls within the scope of university-approved topics. If so, students will be supervised by both an IE University professor and an executive from their partner company.
The YCP is proud to partner with a diverse range of collaborating companies, eager to explore new ways to work with emerging, top-tier talent.
