Dive into real case studies

True to IE Business School’s focus on taking students’ education into a real-world context, students in the Master in Talent Development & Human Resources work with real companies solving real case studies. Santander, Repsol and Deloitte are just a few of our many company partners.

As the 10 months of the program is divided into three terms, students have the opportunity to take a variety of classes to prepare them to become leaders in HR. In the Assessment & Psychometric Models course, for example, industry-leading guest speakers join the class to share their knowledge, and in turn, students develop their projects by engaging with stakeholders from these firms to assess their human resources needs and then creating a proposal.

This equips students with real-world HR experiences, and also allows them to forge professional connections before they even graduate.

Roles you can land post-graduation

This program is divided into four pillars: Strategic HR, Behavior & Change Management, Talent Development & Management, and Integrating HR Tech & Tools. These four core pillars are the foundation of the program, setting students up for success in whatever career path they choose.

In terms of specific roles you can fill after graduating, the program structure is set up in a way that lays out four possible career paths for graduates. The first is General HRRoles, including positions like HR Manager and HR Generalist. Next is Talent Management & Development Roles, which focus more on people development, learning and culture. Examples of roles in this track include Talent Development & HR Specialist and Learning & Development Manager. Talent Acquisition & Recruitment Roles is the path that focuses on initial talent hiring and recruitment, and as such, roles like Senior Recruiter, Associate Director of Admissions, and Talent Acquisition Specialist all fall into this path. Last but certainly not least is the Consulting Roles path, for those graduates who want to take a dive into the world of talent consulting.

Roles in this path can include titles such as Business Analyst to Human Capital Consultant.

Consulting is in fact the largest sector of where Master in Talent Development & Human Resources graduates work, making up 22% of alumni roles. Closely following is Consumer Products & Retail, Education, Industrial, and Technology. We’re proud to say that 87% of the program’s job-seeking graduates receive offers within six months of graduation—and that number will only continue to grow.

Another alum, Lizbeth Hernández took the leap to complete the program in the midst of the pandemic—a choice that actually made studying HR “more challenging, and the cases more interesting.”
