What are the steps in the admissions process for master’s candidates from France?

The most difficult step might be choosing from our wide variety of master’s programs, ranging from business and law to technology and architecture. Once you’ve picked the right degree for you, the IE University admissions process involves the following stages:

1. Online application: Your journey begins with our online application form. You will need to create an account and fill out the form on our website. Upload supporting documents that highlight your academic achievements—this includes a one-page resume, a motivation letter, two recommendation letters and evidence of your English language proficiency.

2. Admissions test: Next, demonstrate your critical-thinking and reasoning abilities with an admissions test. Depending on which program you are applying for, you may take our IE Global Admissions Test (ieGAT), or you can submit your scores from the GMAT, GRE, CFA or CAIA. You can find out the specific requirements by visiting the admissions section within your program’s information page.

3. English exam: If you are a non-native speaker of English, depending on your program’s requirements, you may also need to complete a test of English, which can be TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge C1 Advanced/C2 Proficiency, or the Duolingo English Test.

4. Online assessment: Once you have completed your application and paid the admission fee, you will be provided with a link to our online platform. On this platform, you will need to respond to three questions live—two will be recorded as videos and one will be a written response. The entire assessment should take no longer than 20 minutes to complete.

5. Personal interview: After a thorough review of your application, you may be invited for a personal interview with an admissions officer. This is your chance to shine and discuss your goals and ambitions. Our interviews can be conducted online or face-to-face.

6. Final committee decision: The Admissions Committee will carefully consider all aspects of your application and make their final decision. Expect to receive an email notification within two weeks.
