The Admissions Process at IE University is designed to identify your academic and personal strengths. Our rigorous and holistic evaluation of potential candidates allows our Admissions Department to build a diverse and global student body that stands out from the rest.
Our prestigious programs are created with you in mind—and that includes the Application Process. We work on a rolling admissions policy, meaning that you can apply to IE University on your time. However, spaces in our programs are limited, and with the highly competitive environment of our master’s programs, we encourage you to start the process as soon as possible.
At IE University, offering equal learning opportunities to our students takes top priority. Providing the necessary means for students to effectively express their knowledge is fundamental to our understanding of diversity.
With this aim in mind, our University offers a series of special adaptations for students with SEN (Special Educational Needs), which are defined as special conditions that may hinder a student’s learning and challenge his or her academic achievement. These types of special learning conditions must be both certified by qualified professionals and properly documented in official reports. Similarly, the diagnosis needs to be supported by objective and standardized test results. Any student who wishes to benefit from such adaptations should provide the University with the corresponding report issued by a qualified professional in the field. The information that is provided is handled confidentially and will be filed exclusively for the intended purposes, only.
In order to initiate the request for academic adaptations, students are asked to fill out a questionnaire upon their acceptance to IE University. Our department of SEN evaluates the submitted documentation, and provisionally issues a proposal of academic adaptations. This proposal will only be formalized after a personal interview with our Special Educational Needs Coordinator at the start of the academic year
We operate on a rolling admissions basis so you can apply on your own time. We recommend, however, applying at least a few months before your program starts.
The GMAT is one of the various admissions tests we accept. We also accept the GRE and our internal entrance exam, the IE Global Admissions Test (ieGAT). Please check your program-specific page for more details on which is most appropriate to your program.
You will receive a resolution after the Admissions Committee has thoroughly reviewed your application. This will vary depending on how many applications we have received. The average time the Admissions Process can take is a month.
