The IE Alumni Association’s activities and objectives reflect IE Business School’s values, which alumni inherit and make their own. Students and alumni who retain ties with the Association seek to give back to society and their alma mater what they have gleaned from them, thereby further enriching their experience and ensuring a mutually beneficial lifelong relationship.

Spreading Knowledge

The main platform used by the Association to disseminate knowledge is IDEAS magazine.

IDEAS is a bilingual quarterly magazine designed to link alumni to IE and keep them abreast of professional news and fresh developments at IE Business School. It affords Alumni the opportunity to follow their former classmates again through the magazine’s in-depth interviews, which feature key figures in business, science, entrepreneurship and the humanities.

Its well-honed editorial line provide IE alumni and faculty with an exceptional forum comprised of articles on best business practice, legal developments, the latest market trends in different sectors and geographical areas, humanities, communication, etc. In short, about all areas of knowledge that are relevant to a select and sophisticated group of professionals in over 100 countries.

Career Development

One of the major benefits of the Alumni Association is career development. Long gone are the days when recruiting talent meant sifting through thousands of resumés printed on paper.

The professionalism of our students and alumni can be seen in what they do online in virtual communities and other social networks. It is also evident in the way they organize and take part in events that examine the latest trends in each sector or field, and in virtual or face-to-face contacts in which recruiters seek out the profiles that best suit their needs.

More than half of the recruiters who hire IE talent are alumni who studied with us at some time. No-one is better equipped to recognize the excellence of our teaching and the extent to which such a diverse and innovative environment can fully develop the skills organizations are looking for.
