"Use your technology for longer… It takes a huge amount of energy and resources to make technology."
I am a UK-born technology entrepreneur who taught myself computing by building PCs from salvaged parts and went on to study Computer Science at Exeter University before launching my career during the dot-com boom. After gaining early startup experience, I learnt the language of business at the IE in Spain, a country I fell in love with, where I built my own home by hand, maintaining a second residence there for over 20 years. Following a time in telecoms, I founded a business rooted in my original passion making technology more valuable and sustainable. That company has grown into a group of diverse, and internationally recognised leaders in the circular economy for technology, offering both strategic consultancy and practical implementation to improve ROI and sustainability outcomes. I have spoken at UN events, advised governments on digital sustainability, and received industry-wide recognition for the organisation's purpose and values led multi-million-euro businesses. Also independently verified by EcoVadis as in top 1% of sustainable of companies worldwide. Outside work, I am a proud and engaged father of two daughters (aged 10 and 14) and a competitive road cyclist who has represented Great Britain at Gran Fondo level.
How did IE help you get to where you are today?
I was the second youngest to join the International MBA in 2002, and if I am honest I felt underprepared when I arrived, such was the level and capability of my peers. It was an intense course, and my classmates came from wildly diverse backgrounds. I’m not sure I ever had to work as hard as I did for those first three terms, but I won the opportunity to study my final term at UCLA in the US, which rounded off an amazing cultural and intellectual journey. The IE provided me with all the foundational understanding to work with any functional area in a business, and crucially the confidence to start my own thing. Entrepreneurship was such a stand out value and focus of the school, it’s almost like I didn’t feel I had a choice when the opportunity arose. Without doubt I wouldn’t be where I am now without my time at IE. Even today, nearly 25 years on, I continue to reconnect with the IE to broaden my world view, expand my impact, and start to give back to the community that accelerated my career.
What is the key to the success of your company?

We have strong values in our culture - TRUST Transformational – we maintain our entrepreneurial can do attitude Resilient – hard is good, don’t give up! Unified – we do it together Sincere – we respect and look after each other Transparent – we are open, clear and proud of the decisions we make 3. We embrace all forms of diversity and see that as a strength. 4. We focus on employee satisfaction, customer success and cash generation, anything else is mostly vanity.
